**2020  

Inauguration and Launch**

Just like a person’s birthday is unforgettable,  

Each school has its own special commemorative day.

On June 30, 2020,  

Under the Ministry of Education's official document (2020) No. 41,  

It was approved that the Beijin College of Hunan University of Commerce  

Would be renamed as Xiangtan Institute of Technology.

On October 26, 2020,  

The inauguration ceremony for Xiangtan Institute of Technology  

And the opening ceremony for the Class of 2020 were grandly held.

With the president, teachers, students, and parents,  

Xiangtan Institute of Technology embarked on a new journey,  

Becoming the first successfully restructured university in Hunan Province.

"How can we survive and thrive in an uncertain world?"  

President Yuan Libin encouraged all teachers and students to:  

Appreciate the era,  

Unleash the power of "dreams,"  

Learn altruism,  

Harness the strength of "us,"  

And "unite knowledge and action, and pursue excellence,"  

To accumulate the power of "knowledge and action."

 The moving moment is still fresh in memory,  

The earnest expectations still resonate.  

For four years,  

Teachers and students at Xiangtan Institute have moved forward with determination,  

With the spirit of "uniting knowledge and action, and pursuing excellence,"  

Marching forward boldly,  

And never wavering.

**2021  

CFAP and Exploration**

As a university in the new era,  

Understanding whom to educate, how to educate, and for whom to educate  

Is a significant issue that must be clarified.

On April 29, 2021,  

Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group,  

Visited the campus to meet teachers and students.  

He shared,  

"A school’s quality depends on its students.  

If students have potential and are successfully educated, the school has a future and will succeed."  

"May each student find their direction and fulfill their dreams."  

With heartfelt expectations and sincere blessings,  

He injected energy and confidence into the leap-forward development of Xiangtan Institute of Technology.

In July 2021,  

In line with social needs and educational practices,  

Xiangtan Institute of Technology launched the CFAP talent cultivation concept,  

Empowering students in four dimensions:  

Character, Fundamental abilities, Action, and Professional skills,  

To foster innovative, creative, and imaginative talents.

 In the fall of the same year,  

The university established Tanzhou College  

To study, research, and promote Huxiang culture,  

Exploring a college system for student management  

To enhance general education.  

With traditional cultural excellence,  

It aimed to cultivate a new generation of leaders with confidence, ambition, resilience, and courage.

Tanzhou College offered lectures on Huxiang culture,  

Courses on self-control and habit development,  

"One hour of exercise every day,"  

Qi Baishi Art Research Classes,  

And "Happy Farm" labor education.  

This five-education model was carried out effectively in practical daily sessions,  

Allowing students to grow confident,  

Energetic, articulate, and cultured,  

Shining brightly with the spirit of Xiangtan Institute.

**2022  

Education and Practice**

Xiangtan Institute understands that  

Only by serving societal needs can it realize its value.  

Only by actively integrating into practice  

Can students develop skills.

In June 2022,  

The Xiangtan Municipal Government, Geely Automotive Group, and Xiangtan Institute of Technology  

Signed a strategic cooperation agreement to co-build an industrial college,  

Exploring a new joint education mechanism among industry, academia, research, and government.  

They jointly constructed an automotive industrial college and an industrial internet college,  

Fostering talent, industry, and technology in an interconnected way,  

Supporting the innovation-driven development of Xiangtan as a national innovation city.  

This marked the beginning of a collaborative education experiment.

That year,  

The labor education project of Xiangtan Institute of Technology  

Won the Hunan Province Higher Education Teaching Excellence Award,  

Setting a precedent for the university and contributing a Xiangtan model for labor education.

 With strong professional skills, Xiangtan students  

Achieved national awards in competitions such as  

The National College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition  

And the National College Student Advertising Art Competition.  

At the Hunan Sunshine Aerobics Festival,  

The team displayed teamwork and fluid movements, winning three championships.  

At the 11th Hunan Provincial Games for Disabled People,  

Xiangtan students’ sports spirit shone,  

Earning a gold and silver medal,  

Demonstrating the resilient core of Xiangtan people.

**2023  

Subway Connection and Leaps Forward**

On June 28, 2023,  

With the strong support of provincial and city governments,  

The southern extension of Changsha Metro Line 3 opened,  

Connecting Xiangtan Institute of Technology at Chuanshan Station.  

This single line links an entire city,  

Encompassing education, commerce, art, and culture.  

The integration of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan's urban spaces  

Infuses fresh momentum into the university's development.

Meanwhile,  

Xiangtan Institute's first Quality Conference sounded the horn for high-quality education.  

With this, the university embarked on a new journey toward all-around quality construction.

Training programs such as Geely’s Lynk & Co Brand Marketing Boot Camp  

And the Smart LCV Digital Project at Geely’s New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group,  

Emphasize in-depth industry-academia integration.  

The Geely-Xiangtan Institute Summer Camp  

Further empowered students' comprehensive qualities.

Thirty-eight teachers and students  

Traveled to Hong Kong Polytechnic University  

For a study tour focused on "leadership and innovation,"  

Marking the university's growing global vision.

**2024  

Fruitful Innovation**

In June 2024,  

Xiangtan Institute of Technology held its  

Undergraduate Graduation and Degree Conferment Ceremony,  

Sending off its first cohort of 2,576 graduates.  

In his speech, President Yuan encouraged the graduates to  

Have ideals and ambitions, pursue lifelong learning,  

Develop well-rounded skills and personalities,  

And face challenges with resilience.  

His heartfelt words inspired the entire campus.  

During the ceremony, he personally moved the tassel and presented a certificate to each graduate,  

A gesture that reflected his sincere blessings for their future.

Among the first cohort,  

73 students were awarded the title of "Outstanding Provincial Graduates,"  

And 6 received recognition for excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship.  

Many students excelled in national and provincial competitions,  

127 graduates were accepted for postgraduate studies at top universities,  

And several found employment in civil service or joined the military.

In 2024,  

The university’s Project-Based Teaching Reform Conference launched a call to  

Deepen project-based curriculum reform,  

Strengthen industry-academia integration,  

And accelerate internationalization.

Another academic year has started,  

With 4,616 new students full of youthful energy.  

The steady enrollment rate reflects the university’s  

Magnetic appeal and remarkable development.

Looking ahead,  

With its location in Xiangjiang Science City and seven academic disciplines,  

Xiangtan Institute of Technology remains committed to
