Recently, the award ceremony of the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 China Region Finals was held in Xiamen. Zhou Yi and Chen Jinwei from School of Digital Technology of Xiangtan Institute of Technology won the second prize in the practical competition of the computing track of the China Region Finals, while Lei Yang, Li Wenqiang, and Li Zhongsheng won the third prize in the practical competition of the cloud track, and Li Yang, Fu Hao, and Xie Zhuocheng won the third prize in the Ascend AI track.

It is reported that the Huawei ICT Competition is an annual ICT event for global university students created by Huawei. Since its inception in 2015, the influence of the competition has been increasing, and it has been officially included in the list of national university student competition projects by the China Higher Education Association.

Since the start of this competition in September 2023, it has attracted more than 100,000 students from over 1,700 universities, with a total of 298 teams from 204 universities standing out.

At the Hunan Province competition held in December, student teams guided by teachers from School of Digital Technology, such as Wen Chuangxin and Hu Zhou, achieved outstanding results, winning two special prizes, one first prize, one second prize, and three third prizes in the cloud track of Hunan Province.

Wen Chuangxin stated that School of Digital Technology attaches great importance to intelligent and digital construction, and will further strengthen the cultivation of students' practical skills and their innovative abilities in using new platforms and technologies, aiming to cultivate high-quality ICT innovation talents for society.
