Integration of Industry, Education, and Research for Collaborative Talent Development! Xiangtan Institute of Technology Holds Entrepreneur Alliance Symposium

On the afternoon of April 22nd, Xiangtan Institute of Technology held an Entrepreneur Alliance Symposium in Room 309 of Building 1 on campus. Over 20 representatives from entrepreneurs in the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong and local entrepreneurs in Hunan gathered with university representatives to discuss the integration of industry and education and collaborative talent development. Professor Yuan Libin, President of Xiangtan Institute of Technology, attended the symposium, engaged in interactive exchanges with entrepreneurs, and delivered a concluding speech. Heads of various colleges and university faculty members participated in the symposium, which was chaired by Professor Zhang Guihua, Vice President of Xiangtan Institute of Technology.

Vice President Ma Weiping delivered the welcome speech, extending a warm welcome to entrepreneurs and industry experts from all over the country on behalf of the university. He briefly introduced the preparations for the conference and emphasized the university's commitment to the integration of industry and education, focusing on "New Engineering" and "New Business." The university aims to closely follow industrial and technological frontiers, striving to build a new type of market-oriented university with outstanding quality and services for industries and enterprises. He expressed hope that through discussions, exchanges, and future collaboration, the university and entrepreneurs can yield more fruitful results in collaborative talent development as a "dual-subject" partnership.

The symposium revolved around the theme of collaborative talent development between universities and enterprises and sparked enthusiastic discussions. Entrepreneurs such as Ma Xinghua, General Manager of Hunan Geely Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., Zhang Kai, Chairman of Hunan Kaisi Era Technology Co., Ltd., Shi Qiu, Chairman of Guangdong Jiangmen Lusi Tuo Motor Electrical Co., Ltd., Liu Zhenhua, Chairman of Guangdong Longde Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Dai Song, General Manager of Guangzhou Jida Information Technology Co., Ltd., Sun Jianjun, General Manager of Hunan Top Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., and Dai Jinwen, General Manager of Xianket (Guangdong) Special Clothing Co., Ltd., exchanged views. They emphasized that universities are essential institutions for cultivating higher education talents and should focus on meeting social needs and economic development. Applied universities should cultivate practical talents, and Xiangtan Institute of Technology's CFAP talent development model, guided by market demand, is forward-looking and pioneering. Entrepreneurs mainly value students' work attitudes, loyalty, craftsmanship, and whether they possess expertise, resilience, and innovation capabilities in their respective fields. Everyone expressed their intention to deepen cooperation with Xiangtan Institute of Technology in the future, promoting mutual visits of personnel, establishing collaborative talent development mechanisms, and jointly formulating talent training plans to deepen the integration of industry and education.

The symposium was attended by Professor Chang Siliang from Hunan Normal University and doctoral supervisor, as well as Professor Deng Yingling, Chief Professor of Xiangtan Institute of Technology, professor at Hunan Normal University, and doctoral supervisor. They participated in the symposium and shared their insights. They acknowledged that Xiangtan Institute of Technology focuses on running schools according to the needs of enterprises, and its "dual-subject" approach to talent development has formed distinctive features, placing it at the forefront of similar universities. The CFAP talent development model proposed by the university has gained high recognition from numerous entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneur Alliance Symposium effectively consolidated consensus between the university and enterprises, conducive to deepening collaborative talent development. They hope that the university and various enterprises can collaborate to further develop and expand the Entrepreneur Alliance, striving to cultivate practical talents needed by society and enterprises.

In his concluding speech, President Yuan Libin pointed out that the integration of industry and education and collaborative talent development are the foundation of Xiangtan Institute of Technology. Since its inception, the university has been committed to running schools around the needs of industries and enterprises, striving to become a new type of market-oriented university that serves social development. He stated that currently, the university is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. With a focus on deepening the integration of industry and education and the CFAP talent development model, the university is comprehensively advancing the construction of a market-oriented university through three aspects: philosophy, faculty, and projects. He expressed the hope that entrepreneurs will continue to care for and support the university's development, and together with the university, they can collaboratively nurture talents through industry-education collaboration.
