Recently, the inspection expert group for private undergraduate colleges in Hunan Province conducted an annual inspection of the operational situation at Xiangtan Institute of Technology.

On the morning of the 18th, at the special reporting meeting held in Room 309 of Building 1, Deputy Team Leader of the expert group and Second-level Researcher of the Private Education Department of the Provincial Department of Education, Liu Jiwei, introduced the content and format of this year's annual inspection work. He made arrangements for relevant work and put forward clear disciplinary requirements.

President Yuan Libin briefed the inspection team members on some of the main work and achievements of Xiangtan Institute of Technology in 2023, including the overall situation of the university, self-inspection of educational activities, problems, and improvements.

He stated that in the past year, with the strong support of the Provincial Department of Education and the Municipal Party Committee and Government of Xiangtan, Xiangtan Institute of Technology has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively implemented the Party's educational policies, implemented the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, anchored its position as an applied university, and achieved good results in educational and teaching reform, quality management, in-depth integration of industry and education, innovation and entrepreneurship education, etc. All aspects of the university have experienced rapid development. In the next step, the university will continue to strengthen the construction of educational infrastructure, continuously improve the conditions for running the school, and make every effort to build a high-level applied university integrating industry and education, serving local economic and industrial development.

During the annual inspection, the expert group conducted a comprehensive inspection of the overall situation of Xiangtan Institute of Technology's educational activities in 2023 through various forms such as listening to reports, on-site inspections, reviewing materials, individual interviews with teachers and students, and holding symposiums.

The expert group believes that over the past year, Xiangtan Institute of Technology has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, prioritized the task of fostering virtue through education, focused on party building, comprehensively promoted the CFAP talent training model, effectively strengthened the ethics and professionalism of teachers, deepened the construction of educational and teaching infrastructure, continuously improved the conditions for running the school, gradually perfected corporate governance, and continuously improved the level of education. In particular, the university's party building leadership has been continuously strengthened; students have made breakthroughs in discipline competitions and have won numerous national awards; students serving as volunteers for the Asian Games have won multiple honors; the university's project-based educational reform has distinctive characteristics and has made significant breakthroughs; the number of graduates admitted to graduate school has increased steadily. The expert group hopes that the university will always prioritize the task of fostering virtue through education, adhere to non-profit public welfare education, continuously improve corporate governance, deepen the integration of industry and education, intensify educational and teaching reforms, and continuously improve the quality of applied talent training.
