Recently, Yue Jia, a young faculty from the Business School of Xiangtan Institute of Technology, published his latest research in the top journal in the field of sustainable development, *Journal of Cleaner Production*. The paper, titled “Unequal Household Carbon Emissions and Potential Determinants in China: Evidence from Nationwide Household Surveys,” lists Yue Jia as the first author and Xiangtan Institute of Technology as the first affiliation.

*Journal of Cleaner Production* is an international interdisciplinary journal focused on research and practice related to cleaner production, environmental sustainability, and sustainability. With its latest impact factor of 11.1, it is a TOP journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences' first quartile (Q1), indexed by both SCI and SSCI. Yue Jia’s research marks a breakthrough in the scientific research level of young faculty members at Xiangtan Institute of Technology.

The research focuses on the issue of household carbon emissions in China, using publicly available authoritative data from China's energy statistics departments and the Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS) at Peking University to quantify and analyze household carbon emissions from 2010 to 2018. The study further employs the STIRPAT model to identify key factors influencing household carbon emissions in China and proposes targeted policy recommendations.

Yue Jia believes that addressing the inequality of household carbon emissions in China can provide valuable insights for global climate change mitigation and governance, especially in the development of carbon reduction programs and policies in other countries, particularly developing nations, thus promoting sustainable development at both national and regional levels.
